Terms for using the Studio website.

You may use the public website to learn about Studio and prepare a request if you are at least 18 years old and can enter into an agreement where you live.

Do not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit unlawful or harmful material, impersonate another person, or use the site to violate another person’s rights.

Preparing or sending a request does not create a Studio account, client relationship, promise of service, confidentiality agreement, or payment obligation. Black Lentil may accept, decline, or ask for more information about a request.

Work begins only after the parties agree to the scope, responsibilities, timing, price, and any additional written terms. If those terms conflict with this page, the specific written engagement controls for that work.

Public descriptions explain what Studio may offer; they are not a guarantee that every service is available for every person, business, location, platform, or jurisdiction.

Website content is general information, not legal, tax, financial, medical, or other regulated professional advice. Important decisions should be checked against current primary sources and the appropriate qualified professional.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit and for having authority to share it. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, government identifiers, confidential third-party records, or material you are not permitted to disclose through a public request.

You keep ownership of material you provide. If Studio work begins, you allow Black Lentil to use that material only as reasonably needed to evaluate, perform, document, and protect the agreed work, subject to the applicable engagement and privacy terms.

The Studio website, Black Lentil name and marks, original writing, designs, reports, and software are owned by the operator or used with permission. You may view the public website for your own lawful use. No other license is granted unless Black Lentil agrees in writing.

Studio may refer to websites, search engines, review platforms, email providers, Black Lentil Desk, or other services that Black Lentil does not control. Their availability, content, terms, privacy practices, and decisions are their own.

Studio access and Desk access are granted separately. Access to one does not grant access to the other.

Black Lentil may correct, change, suspend, or remove public website content or features. The website may sometimes be unavailable. To the extent permitted by law, Black Lentil is not responsible for losses caused solely by relying on general public content, third-party services, or interruptions outside its reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms excludes a right or responsibility that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

These public-site terms are governed by New York law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless applicable law requires otherwise. A material update will carry a new date and will apply from that date forward.
